At The Kautapen Group, we believe that providing world-class fishing and hunting experiences goes hand in hand with leading efforts in sustainability. As part of this commitment, we are proud to announce that we have started transitioning our lodges to renewable energy, beginning with the installation and activation of solar panels at several of our lodges: Kau Tapen Lodge (Tierra del Fuego, Argentina), Delta Lodge (Buenos Aires, Argentina), Abaco Lodge (Bahamas), La Dormida, Pica Zuro, and Córdoba Lodge (all in Córdoba, Argentina), and El Tobar Camp (Tucumán, Argentina). These lodges are now benefiting from clean, sustainable energy, helping to reduce our carbon footprint while maintaining the high level of service our guests expect.
Our Journey Toward Sustainability
This is just the first step in a larger plan to implement solar power across all of our lodges. We are continuously working on expanding this initiative, and by the end of this month, Mayazul Lodge in Mexico will also be powered by solar energy. By switching to renewable energy, we aim to reduce our dependence on traditional energy sources while ensuring that the natural environments surrounding our lodges are protected for years to come.
Why This Matters?
Going solar is about more than just efficiency—it’s about taking responsibility for the impact we have on the world. By harnessing the power of the sun, we contribute to a cleaner, more sustainable future while preserving the beautiful landscapes and ecosystems that make our lodges special. We believe that together, we can make a meaningful difference — for our clients, our communities, our planet, and for generations to come.
Our commitment to sustainability will continue to evolve as we seek out new ways to reduce our environmental footprint. Stay tuned for more updates as we expand this initiative to all of our lodges.
