Villa María Lodge – Where fishing dreams become reality.
What a week we’ve had at Villa María Lodge! The weather kept us on our toes, with some rain and cooler temperatures, but no strong winds to slow us down. These conditions proved to be perfect for fishing, and the results spoke for themselves—with excellent catches and a high average weight.
The water remained low and crystal clear, so we made a few adjustments to our techniques. Floating lines and small nymphs became the go-to for most of the week, while medium-sized streamers took over during low-light periods, proving irresistible to the fish.
The size of the catches this week was remarkable, but two fish really stole the show. Mark landed an impressive 24lb female, and Lars followed suit with a truly massive 28lb trout! It was so big, we joked we might need to issue it a passport!
Looking ahead, we’re expecting stable weather with a bit of rain, which should keep the fishing in fantastic shape.
